’This Is The Day’ in Arena spirit

Finally, the Budapest Sport Arena has fulfilled its calling: somebody was greeted with ‘full house’ ie. by more than ten thousand people in the Budapest Sport Arena on the Sunday evening of 2nd October – but not Lady Gaga or Britney Spears was greeted but Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the humanity. In the fresh, enthusiastic and joyful mood the time was simple flying: the five hours program was flying like minutes spent, and the Arena was left by people who were smiling and were chatting lively. They really got something or rather then SOMEBODY!

But the organisation of the evening, the professional stage, the light and sound system and the organization of the whole night required a strained and precise work. Four bands, praying people and preachers – more than fifty people went on the stage on that evening, and ten times more people had been working in the background. We are really grateful for everyone but mainly to God who let us to have experience that miracle on that night.

Laszlo PAPP Budapest Sport Arena

We are happy to announce that the Laszlo PAPP Budapest Sport Arena will be the spot of the day of the This Is The Day event on the 2nd October. This Is The Day has been organising praise and worship events for different Christian denominations for more than a decade.

This is a great privilege to us that probably one of the most famous new generational worship groups, the Jesus Culture (USA) and Banning Liebscher has accepted our invitation to this gathering.

The program will be approximately 5 hours long, and the following Hungarian singers will sing some songs: Pintér Béla and his group, Csiszér László and the Amaro Del.

Certainly, we will not miss to commonly pray to our nation and the gospel will be preached as well which has always have an important part of the event of This Is The Day programs.

Furthermore, the other happiness of the organizers it was that from PM 2 Christian brothers and sisters were constantly coming to the event. We could also say: brothers and sisters were coming as in the nice old days. They came from different churches and congregations to pray, to meet, to rejoice and to plead to our beloved country and nation. During the gather it was felt how big thirst has in the Hungarian Christians’ heart to live the unity and to its proclaim. So these things gave the power of the meeting as well as it happened in the past decade.

Anyway it was felt if God smiled on us. It was absolutely true on the 19th June on the jubilee ‘This Is the Day’ event. Its reason it was that on the previous night there was a storm and the rain was pouring down, and on the very day of the event a wind stormed most part of the country. However, on that day, on the Saturday the sun shone over Budapest so we were able to enjoy the good weather without heat.

The Budapest Margaret Island Athletic Centre will be the host of the event on 19th June 2010, starting from 3.30 pm to 10.30 pm.

10 years ago the events organized by This is the day! started with Christian programs, with praise and worship events in stadiums and it brought new colours into the Hungarian church life.

The interdenominational events managed to reach 100,000 people in the Carpathian Basin. This is the day! organization would like to serve towards you with this year ceremonial praise& worship and family day as an anniversary event.
